Overview
The Diploma in Information Technology is a general programme in the School of Infocomm covering IT solutions management, business transformation and software development. Students choose a specialised major aligned with industry needs, preparing for software developer and IT project management positions.
Part of the course concentrates on designing digital experiences, using user interface and user experience design and interaction design. From April 2026, students who passed O-Level Computing may be exempt from the Introductory Programming module, which frees about 60 hours for community projects, certifications or industry visits.
The curriculum is completed with a project module and an industry immersion placement of one or two semesters, plus electives or a minor programme. Students who enjoy both technical problem-solving and working with users are likely to find the course a good fit.
