Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics

This diploma from Singapore Polytechnic's School of Computing prepares students to build and apply artificial intelligence and data analytics. It builds a base in data analytics, software application development and AI methods, and introduces areas such as generative AI and graph analytics alongside big data technology. A mathematics module for applied AI uses Python to practise summarising data, testing hypotheses and reasoning about uncertainty. From the second year, students work on projects set by industry and gather the results into a portfolio, and an industrial attachment gives exposure to a real workplace. A sustainable innovation project puts students in multi-disciplinary teams to tackle local issues tied to the Sustainable Development Goals. Elective modules can be combined into one of five minors, including Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Business Management. Students aiming for further study can use the accelerated pathway programmes the school offers with NUS, SMU and SUTD.
