MA/MS in Religion/Religious Studies

The department no longer accepts new applicants for this master's degree, and the page documents requirements for students already enrolled. The program teaches the scholarly study of religion while building graduate-level expertise in a specialty. Students pick one of four tracks: Texts and Traditions, Religious Thought, Religion and Society, or Religion and Science. Graduates are ready for doctoral or seminary programs or for jobs that value deep familiarity with the world's faiths. The degree sits within a graduate community where students work closely with faculty advisors on a plan of study that suits their goals. Prospective applicants should consult the program page and the relevant school admissions pages for current requirements, deadlines and tuition, since those details are not given on the program page.
