Program details
Overview
Computer Programming gives students a grounding in how software is planned, built, and delivered. The curriculum spans program design and development and exposes students to Java, C#, PHP, and Python.
Near the end of study, a capstone asks students to complete a project for an actual customer, which gives practice working from requirements to a finished product. Classes are available at both the Marietta and North Metro campuses.
Graduates can aim for jobs such as programming analyst or web and internet programmer. Alongside the associate degree, the college has a diploma and certificates for specific skills, including C# programming, Java programming, and iOS app development with Swift. Faculty advisors at each campus help students choose courses, and an overview video explains the program to applicants.
