Graduates receive an AAS. Students learn to operate modern surveying instruments and software alongside civil engineering and site design basics. Specialized topics include boundary law, the history of surveying, GIS and GPS. The college also offers a land surveying bachelor's degree for those who want to continue. Cincinnati State lists this program under the code SAM.AAS. The semester-by-semester curriculum is published with lecture and lab hours for each course, and prospective students can contact the program chair or an advisor before applying through the college.
