AA/AS in Real Estate

Cuyamaca College's real estate program pays special notice to the state licensing rules for real estate. It trains students to find jobs in property fields and related careers. The courses satisfy the education needed for a California broker license and help students prepare for the state salesperson and broker tests. Most real estate classes also count toward appraiser licensing education. Students learn to describe real estate documents and their legal effects, how an escrow proceeds, and the basics of financing, investing, and valuation, and they practice behaving ethically and professionally in an office setting. Advisors can help students sequence courses sensibly and check what employers or receiving schools expect. Speaking with faculty early also helps clarify goals, timing, and next steps.
