AA/AS in Chemistry

This associate of science degree serves students who want to transfer and earn a bachelor's in chemistry or a related field. The goal is for graduates to join chemistry programs at four-year schools as juniors, including through MassTransfer. Students learn to use chemical ideas on problems that are both descriptive and numerical, to run experiments and interpret what they find, and to explain principles drawn from chemistry and the wider natural world. They also practice presenting scientific ideas, in writing and aloud, and working as part of a lab team. The program page lists a faculty contact and provides sample syllabi, which help newcomers see what the coursework looks like before they enroll. Anyone hoping to use MassTransfer should check with a participating university to confirm that they are eligible.
