AA/AS in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications

The Computer Information Technology program trains students through labs on networking, cloud services, server administration and cybersecurity. It targets graduates who want to work in IT support, systems security or network management. Courses are aligned with credentials such as CompTIA A+, the Cisco CCNA and the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam. Instructors come with direct industry experience, and the content covers troubleshooting hardware and software, configuring and supporting networks, designing cloud infrastructure on AWS and applying defensive practices to protect data. Students can choose among several technology paths, including cloud, networking and security, so they can tailor their studies to the area of IT that interests them most. Students can use the department pages at Mission College to review program maps, see which classes are scheduled each term and contact faculty or advisors, which makes it easier to plan a realistic path toward their academic goals.
