Cert in Drama/Theatre Arts and Stagecraft

This Moorpark College certificate aims to prepare students for jobs in professional theatre. Graduates may be hired as stage managers, actors, playwrights, crew in film or television, production assistants, casting assistants or general theatre technicians. The acting emphasis gives performers training they can combine with technical exposure, which widens the range of positions open to them after graduation. It also helps students who plan to keep studying theatre at a university. The credential is awarded in theatre arts with a focus on acting. Prospective students can find the list of required courses in the catalog and should talk with a counselor about how the certificate fits their goals. Students are encouraged to review program requirements in the current catalog and to speak with a counselor about how the credential fits their longer-term plans.
