Overview

Preparing students for varied careers as dietitians and nutritionists, this master's degree trains aspiring registered dietitians and others pursuing advanced academic study in clinical nutrition. Its coursework and internship components satisfy every academic requirement for eligibility to register with the national dietetics academy. Three study options exist. A forty-credit clinical track serves those who want the registered dietitian credential. A thirty-four-credit clinical track gives advanced dietetics training to people who already hold that credential or have finished a dietetic internship. A thirty-four-credit track in foods and nutrition suits students who already possess a professional credential in a health field, such as a physician, dentist or pharmacist.
