Overview

Interdisciplinary in design, this bachelor's degree studies a world in which people, goods and ideas are closely linked. Students approach that world by analyzing and creating readings of texts and their settings, tracing how ideas and populations travel, and examining how physical objects and cultures interact. Learners build ways of grasping global change that are spatial, conceptual and historical. Instead of staying within one field, they borrow from many disciplines. As an undergraduate offering at NYU, the program takes applications through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, which handles every undergraduate program at the university.
