AA/AS in Electromechanical Technologies/Technicians

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician program at St. Philip's College belongs to the Transportation and Manufacturing Technologies department and is offered as Associate of Applied Science degrees with certificate steps. The page lists mechatronics and instrumentation tracks. The training prepares students for work in instrumentation and process control. Students learn to interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics, and they take responsibility for repair, maintenance, calibration, and adjustment of measurement instruments along with scheduled preventative maintenance. Technicians in this field keep running the equipment that regulates temperature, pressure, material flow, and object speed or position. Possible roles include instrumentation technician, electronics technician, and maintenance technician in industries that rely on process control. Contact details for the program director are on the page. Prospective students can use the contact details on the program page to ask about courses, scheduling, and next steps.
