Overview
RISEBA is a Riga-based higher education institution founded in 1992 that brings business, architecture, design, media and creative technologies together.
Teaching is organised through three faculties: Business and Economics, Architecture and Design, and Media and Creative Technologies. Students can study at bachelor, master and doctoral level, and the course offer ranges from entrepreneurship, European business, psychology and public relations to architecture, audiovisual art, sport and health management, big data analytics and project management.
Programmes are built around practical experience and close cooperation with industry professionals, so that students develop career skills alongside academic knowledge. Several bachelor programmes are taught in English, while others run in Latvian, and some business programmes can also be followed part time on campus or fully through distance learning, which suits people who combine study with work or family commitments.
Bachelor programmes start in September, and some also admit students in February.
Beyond degree study, the university runs a mentoring programme for students, graduates and partners, an annual supervision conference, open-door days for prospective students and short courses for adults in areas such as digital marketing and marketing strategy. It also takes part in international Erasmus+ projects, which reflects the international outlook it describes for its academic community.
