Overview
Republic Polytechnic is a polytechnic in Singapore that awards diplomas rather than degrees.
Its full-time courses, numbering more than 40, are organised across seven schools, and students can add one of 19 minor programmes to widen or deepen their main field of study. The institution also runs a continuing education and training arm with over 800 short courses in areas such as artificial intelligence and sustainability, aimed at working adults who want to upskill or change direction.
Teaching is built around three ideas: planning a personal path, shaping one's own coursework, and leading real projects through its White Space initiative. The polytechnic reports working with more than 2,000 industry partners and says every student is placed in an internship.
Student life includes over 50 co-curricular activities that range from sport and the arts to leadership, adventure and community service learning, along with three arts and music festivals.
The alumni community numbers more than 60,000 people and is served through the Club Republic network. Applicants enter through pathways set out for O-Level holders, N(A)-Level holders, ITE students and other applicants.
The admissions pages publish aggregate ranges and intake numbers for each diploma course, offer course counselling with education and career guidance coaches, and describe an appeals process. The website also promotes an international student webinar and an open house for 2027.
