Overview
This Bachelor of Arts program, offered jointly by Bishop's University's Department of Economics and Department of Politics and International Studies within the Faculty of Social Sciences, is available as a Major or Honours concentration. Coursework examines the interconnection of economics and politics, from the individual to the global scale, tracing how policy choices in one domain shape outcomes in the other. The program can be completed in three or four years, with intake in both the Fall and Winter terms. Students combine economic and political analysis to understand how governments and markets interact and shape policy outcomes. Graduates pursue careers such as policy analyst, economist, trade specialist, government relations professional, diplomat, and foreign correspondent, as well as further graduate study in economics, political science, or international affairs.
