Program details

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing at Brandon University is a four-year undergraduate program offered at both the university's Main Campus in Brandon and its Satellite Campus in Winnipeg, giving students in either city access to the same credential. On completing the degree, graduates become eligible to write the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination, the licensing exam required to practise as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Psychiatric nursing is a distinct nursing specialization focused on the care of individuals experiencing mental illness, and the program is designed for students pursuing this specific career path within the nursing profession. Further detail on admissions and clinical requirements is available through the program's dedicated admissions section. The dual-campus format means applicants are not limited to attending in Brandon alone to pursue this credential.
