Overview
The International Trade and Transportation Logistics Certificate is where you learn the techniques today’s successful managers and logistics coordinators use for market analysis, effective entry strategies, transportation, and planning for international trade and transportation. This program is designed for those already working in purchasing and shipping, those who want to move from manufacturing into international supply chain management, or those who want to more effectively manage the operations of their small business. You’ll learn from courses like International Trade, Transport Systems, Logistics Processes, Purchasing, and Operation Management Fundamentals. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared for advanced careers in managing supply chains for manufacturing and distribution.

Admission Requirements: The International Trade and Transportation Logistics Certificate (part-time) page sets Category 2 English language proficiency — English Studies 12 at 67% or equivalent — as its only stated entry condition; BCIT's general proficiency page equates this to IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 86, PTE Academic 60, or Duolingo 120. No prior post-secondary credential or admission-stage course prerequisite is required (a 50% grade in TDMT 1104 is a course prerequisite within the program, for TDMT 2204, not an entry condition). Applicants must declare their program through BCIT's online process before formal acceptance. Application Deadline:BCIT publishes common credential application dates for most cohort-based diplomas, degrees and Flexible Learning routes, though each program's own page governs: for the January 2027 intake domestic applications run 1 February 2026 to 2 January 2027 and international to 1 November 2026; for the April 2027 intake domestic runs 1 May 2026 to 1 April 2027 and international to 1 February 2027; for September 2027 domestic applications open 1 October 2026 and close 1 September 2027, international 2 July 2027. Openings are 9:00 am and deadlines 11:59 pm Pacific Time, moving to the next business day on a weekend. Admission is not institute-wide rolling, but many programs work first-qualified-first-accepted and can fill before the posted deadline, and several programs, mostly in Health Sciences, trades and graduate studies, run entirely separate application tables of their own.
