Overview
The Cybersecurity Analysis for Network Administrators micro-credential will enable learners to acquire knowledge related to network security and demonstrate mitigating strategies and methods for securing IT networks. Designed for network administrators currently working in the IT sectors, you will learn how to protect data and systems and minimize network risks. Comprised of five cybersecurity badges that are in high demand, this micro-credential will not only prepare you for how to identify, analyze, and implement security best practices but will also serve to close the ever-growing cybersecurity skills gaps in the industry.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: This is a Flexible Learning micro-credential rather than a formally admitted program: BCIT states no formal application is required, and applicants may register directly for courses if they meet the course prerequisites. No English or French language proficiency test score is set. Course-level prerequisites include basic knowledge of networking and operating systems, completion of Network Defense Essentials (FortiGate) before the SIEM/SOAR course, and completion of Ethical Hacking before the Forensic Investigation course. Students need a PC or laptop with a minimum of 16GB RAM and an internet connection. No portfolio, interview, minimum-GPA, or immunisation condition is stated. The program is open to international applicants, though those on a study permit are not eligible for this program.

Openings are 9:00 am and deadlines 11:59 pm Pacific Time, moving to the next business day on a weekend. Admission is not institute-wide rolling, but many programs work first-qualified-first-accepted and can fill before the posted deadline, and several programs, mostly in Health Sciences, trades and graduate studies, run entirely separate application tables of their own.
