Program details

Overview

This micro-credential trains professionals to deliver low-impact buildings aimed at net-zero energy and carbon targets. It examines strategies that strengthen a building's resilience, such as reducing dependence on energy grids and improving its ability to withstand climate-related events, and shows how these same strategies also cut carbon by reducing reliance on carbon-emitting energy and new materials.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: This micro-credential has no formal application; BCIT states that students register for its three required courses (XRGN 4515, 4525 and 4535) individually, each of which carries no academic prerequisite, and email the program contact with their name, student number and mailing address after completing all three to receive the credential. No minimum GPA or English/French language test score is published. The program is not available to international students.
