Brock University's Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Archaeology, offered through the Department of Classics and Archaeology in the Faculty of Humanities, studies the ancient worlds of Greece and Rome through an integrated, multidisciplinary curriculum combining archaeological practice, ancient history and art, Greek and Latin language study, and literature in translation. Students take part in experiential activities such as curating exhibitions at the university's Cypriote Museum, participating in archaeological excavations, and joining international courses in the Mediterranean region that combine study tours with fieldwork. Within the degree, students may pursue a Concentration in Ancient Art and Archaeology, focused on visual and material evidence, or a Concentration in Greek and Roman Studies, combining Greek and Latin language study with history, art, religion, and literature. A minor in Classics and certificates in Ancient Greek and Latin Language are also available. Graduates pursue careers in fields such as archaeology, museum and cultural heritage management, journalism, tourism, and library and information science.
