Brock University's Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, offered through the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in the Faculty of Humanities, is organized around two streams: Studio Art and History of Art and Visual Culture. Studio Art students work in dedicated studio spaces across disciplines including drawing, painting, photography, digital media, sound, sculpture, and interdisciplinary practice, and are required to submit a portfolio as part of admission. History of Art and Visual Culture students study the historical development of art and imagery through interdisciplinary, thematic coursework, and are exempt from the portfolio requirement, applying directly to the BA Honours stream. Minors are available in History of Art and Visual Culture, Studio Art, and Interactive Arts and Science.
