Overview
Calling all aspiring game creators! Embark on a life-changing adventure Unleash your imagination! Delve into game design theory and application as you train to create immersive experiences across video games, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Learn to design and develop commercial-quality games, simulations, and experiences for a broad range of industries such as entertainment, health, education, construction, marketing, mining, and worlds yet to be explored. Over the course of the program, you’ll go from concept to market-ready games and simulated worlds. You’ll explore the art and science of developing authentic scenarios for both consumer enjoyment and commercial training in this ever-evolving medium.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Cambrian's Game – Design and Simulation page asks graduates of the current Ontario curriculum for a 30-credit Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-student standing, with grade 12 English at (C) or (U); the page explicitly states no portfolio is required for admission. International applicants face additional conditions the programme page does not itself quantify; Cambrian's institution-wide international English-proficiency scale for diploma-level programmes, published on its admissions site, sets IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 (or 550 paper-based), PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo English Test 105-115. Students missing the academic prerequisites can use the college's free Academic Upgrading.

Cambrian's own 2026-27 Academic Schedule A separately sets a Day-3 last-day-to-apply cut-off for every program each term - 13 January 2027 for the January 2027 intake and 12 May 2027 for the May 2027 intake - with transcripts in hand and the non-refundable deposit ready before Day 5. International applicants apply through the OCAS International Application Service (up to three Cambrian programmes) or an authorised agent and are reviewed individually; Cambrian publishes no fixed international closing date.
