Overview
The Physics program at the University of Regina, studied through Campion College, leads to a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Science Honours, or Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, in pure and applied/industrial physics. The curriculum spans areas such as astrophysics, atomic and molecular physics, biophysics, fluid mechanics and aerodynamics, nuclear physics, quantum field theory, and thermodynamics. Students conduct research locally and with collaborators across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Japan, in areas including experimental subatomic physics, astronomy, nuclear theory, and nuclear imaging. A co-operative education option connects students with local industry and national laboratories for career-related work terms. Applied Physics majors focus on the practical and engineering-related uses of physics. The department also offers Master of Science and PhD programs in experimental subatomic physics, astronomy, nuclear theory, and nuclear imaging for students who continue to graduate study.

Admission Requirements: The Physics program pages do not state admission requirements themselves and direct applicants to meet the Faculty of Science's general requirements. Saskatchewan high school applicants need Saskatchewan Secondary Level standing with English Language Arts 30, Pre-Calculus 30, and two of Biology 30, Calculus 30, Chemistry 30, Computer Science 30, Earth Science 30, or Physics 30, with a standard admission average of 70%; applicants missing one of the five subjects are admitted at 70% on the remaining four, and those with all five subjects but a 65-69.99% average are admitted to the Science Qualifying Program. All applicants must meet the university's English language proficiency requirement, satisfied by an IELTS Academic overall band of 6.5 (no band below 6.0), a TOEFL iBT overall score of 4.5 with each of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing at least 4, a PTE Academic score of 59 (no area below 59), a Duolingo English Test score of 120, or a CAEL score of 60, unless prior education was completed in English.
