This Bachelor of Science in Mathematics is offered in both four-year and three-year options and combines mathematical training with Canadian Mennonite University's broader interdisciplinary base in the sciences, humanities, biblical and theological studies, and social sciences. Coursework builds skills in precise, organized problem-solving and analytical reasoning that apply to fields such as science, engineering, computer science, business, and teaching. The program is distinctive in situating mathematics within a Christian worldview, with coursework examining the limitations and ethical applications of mathematics and how mathematical thinking has shaped worldviews and can inspire reflection on creation. Students are invited to bring their own convictions to their studies rather than treating mathematics as a value-neutral technical subject alone. The degree is delivered at CMU's campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and prepares graduates for further study or careers across scientific, technical, and applied fields.
