Cert in AEC Estimation en construction

The AEC Estimation en construction (EEC.25) is a fully revised Attestation d'études collégiales from Cégep André-Laurendeau, in the architecture, building and public-works field. The programme runs 1,080 hours, delivered in a hybrid format with most instruction in person. It trains technicians to estimate costs for new-build, renovation and expansion building projects across residential, commercial and institutional sectors, covering the specializations involved: architecture, structure, building mechanics (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, electricity and civil engineering. The five-session curriculum covers mathematics for estimating, office software, the estimating profession, building systems and construction-materials analysis, plan and specification reading, estimating software, construction methods, quantity takeoffs, and estimating across architecture, building envelope, interior fit-out, foundations and wood structures, electricity, civil works, plumbing and fire protection, HVAC, and concrete and steel structures, plus a work placement. The programme also supports preparation for three of the four competencies required for the general contractor licensing exam, and graduates commonly move into construction estimating or project-coordinator roles.
