The AEC Comptabilité (LCA.GK) is an Attestation d'études collégiales from Cégep André-Laurendeau's continuing education division, in the accounting and office-technology field. The programme runs 1,185 hours over about fifteen months, including a work placement, and is delivered fully at a distance apart from the in-person placement. It trains technicians to contribute to an organization's financial operations and resource management: planning, organizing, analyzing and controlling financial activities; managing accounting data and producing financial information under applicable accounting, legal and organizational standards; handling payroll processing and personal taxation; and supporting internal teams, clients and external partners with professional business communication. The five-session curriculum covers introductory accounting, business law, data-management tools, computerized accounting, budget planning and control, business English for accounting, payroll operations, management accounting, non-profit and project accounting, cash-flow management, internal control and certification, and personal taxation, finishing with an integration placement. Graduates typically work as bookkeeping clerks or accounting and finance technicians across private, public and parapublic organizations.
