Overview

This pre-university Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) at Cégep de Jonquière, delivered over six semesters, introduces students to literature, theatre, cinema, visual art, and communication. Coursework blends theoretical study, such as the history of French literature and art movements, with creative practice in writing, theatrical performance, film production, and audio-visual creation. General-education requirements in philosophy, English, and physical education run alongside the specialized courses. In the final semester, students complete a synthesis project (projet synthèse) that integrates skills and knowledge developed across the program into a single creative work.
