Program details
Overview
Natural Sciences and Languages is a three-year pre-university Double DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales), program code 200.16, offered at Cégep de Lévis, combining the Natural Sciences program with intensive language study. Students build a foundation in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics alongside instruction in French, English, and Spanish, plus Portuguese and introductory courses in German, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, and Latin. The science component follows the standard Natural Sciences course sequence, while the language component adds dedicated language courses on top of the regular course load across the three years. The program is delivered on campus and prepares graduates for university programs in science, health sciences, or engineering that also value multilingual competency alongside strong scientific preparation. Incoming students take a mandatory English placement test; a minimum score of 101 is required, with an alternate course pathway offered to students who do not meet it.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or an equivalent qualification, and must have completed secondary-level Mathematics (Technico-sciences 5 or Sciences naturelles 5), Chemistry 5, and Physics 5. A mandatory English placement test applies, with a minimum score of 101 or an alternate pathway for lower scores.
