Diploma in Arts, lettres et communication : option Langues is a diploma in Arts & Culture programme offered by Cégep de l'Outaouais in Gatineau, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years. Teaching is in French. Tuition is CAD 3,740 per year for local students.
Arts, lettres et communication, option Langues (DEC 500.AL), is a two-year, four-session pre-university program at Cegep de l'Outaouais on the Felix-Leclerc campus that pairs general education with a cultural foundation for university study in languages, letters, education, communications and the arts. The languages option suits students who love foreign languages alongside reading, writing and the arts, exploring diverse cultures through Spanish and German. The page notes an optional linguistic trip to a Spanish-speaking country, traditional Spanish and German cultural events, lectures and theatre performances, and museum visits, and an English level of 102 or higher on the placement test as a prerequisite. Coursework covers English, French, Spanish and German language and culture courses building toward translation, creative writing and intercultural communication, and connects language study to literature and the arts. It leads toward university programs in translation, linguistics and writing, language teaching, communication, journalism, marketing and public relations, cultural programming, philosophy and history.
