Arts Visuels: Technologie de l'image is a pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC, code 510.TI) at Cégep de l'Outaouais, completed over four sessions (two years) at Campus Félix-Leclerc with Fall-term intake only. It is one of two profiles within the Arts visuels program, sharing a common core that combines theory and practice in contemporary visual art with general education coursework. This profile focuses on photography, video, and digital technologies, developing image-based creative practice using cameras, Mac computers, graphics tablets, and specialized software, and exploring relationships between image, movement, and sound. Coursework progresses across four sessions from foundational photography, drawing, and sculpture courses toward digital and hybrid image work, video creation, and an integrative creation project situating personal practice within contemporary and historical art. Students take part in cultural outings and travel opportunities and exhibit their work. The diploma prepares students for university study in fields such as visual and media arts, graphic design, environmental design, interactive media, art history, and museology.
