Overview
Sciences humaines, profil Individu et enjeux sociaux (300.M0), est un DEC préuniversitaire de deux ans, offert sur quatre sessions aux campus Félix-Leclerc et Gabrielle-Roy (admission à l'automne aux deux campus, et à l'hiver au campus Gabrielle-Roy seulement), qui initie à la compréhension de l'être humain et des facteurs qui influencent son développement, ainsi qu'au fonctionnement de la société à travers ses règles, ses valeurs et ses institutions. Le parcours explore les liens socioculturels que l'individu tisse au sein de sa collectivité et vise la compréhension d'enjeux tels que l'individualisme, les inégalités sociales et économiques et le respect des minorités, dans le but de développer un esprit critique de citoyen éclairé. La formation initie aux concepts et écoles de pensée de plusieurs disciplines des sciences humaines et à la démarche scientifique propre à ce champ d'études, en développant des capacités d'analyse, de synthèse et de résolution de problèmes appliquées à des phénomènes humains. Elle prépare à la poursuite d'études universitaires dans des domaines comme l'anthropologie, la communication, le droit, la criminologie, l'enseignement, le travail social, les relations internationales, la géographie, la psychologie ou la sociologie. Le programme convient aux personnes curieuses des comportements humains, des fondements historiques et sociaux des sociétés et de la diversité culturelle.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: The program's own page states no particular secondary-course prerequisite beyond the general DES/DEP admission conditions; a specific optional university prerequisite course (Biologie humaine, alone or together with Statistiques avancées en sciences humaines) can be added within the profile for students aiming at a specific university program such as psychology or kinesiology, but this is a program option rather than an admission condition. For international applicants, admission runs through SRAM: candidates applying from outside Canada are considered for the Fall session only (application deadline 14 March) and need an average of at least 3.7 on the Bright French test, while those already in Canada on temporary status apply as regular candidates (recommended deadlines 1 March for Fall entry and 1 November for Winter entry) and need at least 3.5. The French test is mandatory in every DEC program at Cégep de l'Outaouais, even for candidates already schooled in French. Domestic applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES), or a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) with the required secondary courses, or training the college judges equivalent, and apply through admission.sram.qc.ca.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM) at admission.sram.qc.ca: for programmes starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 March 2027, with later rounds around late April and late May while seats remain; Winter 2027 entry opened 15 September 2026, with an equal-consideration date of 1 November 2026 and a second round on 25 November 2026. Cégep de l'Outaouais accepts international applicants for the Fall intake only: the college's FAQ fixes the international deadline at 14 March of the admission year, i.e. 14 March 2027 for Fall 2027 entry, and it publishes no winter international deadline. Admission is rolling round to round within SRAM's system until each round's seats are filled, but the international date is firm. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
