Techniques de physiothérapie is a technical Diploma of College Studies (DEC, code 144.A1) at Cégep de l'Outaouais, completed over six sessions (three years) at Campus Gabrielle-Roy with Fall-term intake and 32 seats per cohort. The program trains physiotherapy technologists to review the files of people with musculoskeletal disorders and to plan and apply treatment programs that maintain, improve, or restore physical and functional capacity. Coursework covers human body structure and function, movement and posture analysis, and treatment planning for orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions, alongside prevention and health-promotion activities. Students apply this training in an on-site teaching clinic and laboratories before completing supervised clinical placements, working with real patients under the guidance of instructors and physiotherapy professionals. Graduates work in rehabilitation centres, hospitals, private physiotherapy clinics, home-support services, sports centres, and long-term care facilities, and the diploma also provides access to university study in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and sports therapy.
