Arts, Letters and Communication - Creative Writing is a two-year pre-university diploma (DEC) combining the general Arts, Letters and Communication curriculum with a creative-writing concentration. Students experiment with different writing techniques through workshops covering free writing, constrained writing, and journalistic writing, alongside coursework in literature, cinema, media, art history, and languages. In the second year, students develop an individual creative project, which may take the form of a short novel, a poetry collection, a play, or an essay, and take part in publication and launch events for their work. The diploma prepares students for university studies in literature, communications, journalism, or related fields. The programme is delivered over two years of full-time study and is one of three streams offered under the college's Arts, Letters and Communication programme, alongside separate Languages and Theatre concentrations.
