Industrial Mechanics Technology Diploma

Industrial Mechanics Technology is a three-year technical diploma (DEC) training students to carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic technologies used in automated and robotic equipment, and to plan and carry out industrial maintenance and improvement projects. Students develop expertise in machine diagnostics and, over time, in coordinating maintenance teams. Training emphasizes hands-on work with recently acquired industrial equipment and includes paid internship opportunities with local industry. Graduates receive a Diplome d'etudes collegiales qualifying them to work as industrial mechanics technologists. The programme is delivered over three years of full-time study, with the proportion of practical, hands-on work increasing relative to classroom instruction from the first to the third year.
