Industrial Management (AEC) is an Attestation of College Studies delivered in a hybrid format (online and in-person), Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., by Cégep de Sherbrooke's Centre de formation continue, over 26 months. The program trains supervisors, planners, and coordinators for continuous-improvement, health-and-safety, and quality functions within an industrial environment, developing skills in production planning, team supervision, quality improvement, and support for continuous-improvement initiatives. Studies are organized into five phases at roughly 19 hours of weekly study, culminating in a 270-hour final internship stage placed within an industrial enterprise. Graduates are prepared to take on supervisory and coordination roles that combine production planning, team leadership, and quality or continuous-improvement responsibilities on a manufacturing or industrial floor. The AEC is a workforce-oriented continuing-education credential rather than a diploma of college studies (DEC), and admission is processed through the Centre de formation continue. The next cohort is planned to begin in January 2027.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Secondary School Diploma (DES) or training judged sufficient by the Cégep. Applicants whose prior studies were not conducted in French, or who studied in a non-Francophone country, must pass a French-language proficiency test; Quebec DES holders and holders of equivalent Canadian Francophone credentials are exempt. The college states that a brief exchange may be proposed, if needed, to discuss the applicant's motivation, experience, and training project. A curriculum vitae and a letter of motivation are required at the time of application. A non-refundable $30 CAD admission and file-analysis fee applies; tuition depends on the applicant's status and was not published as a fixed figure at the time of review.
