Overview
This work-study pathway attestation of college studies (AEC, code JEE.0K) at Cegep de Victoriaville prepares students to work as early childhood educators with children aged 0 to 12. Delivered 100% online through the Teams platform, the program totals 975 hours combining coursework with paid work placements in early-childhood settings. Full-time students attend classes Monday and Friday mornings and afternoons and Wednesday mornings, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are spent at the workplace under the alternance (work-study) format. Students are remunerated throughout the training period. The program leads to an Attestation d'etudes collegiales (AEC), a Quebec college-level credential distinct from the standard three-year Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in early childhood education. Educational materials are provided at no additional cost, and an optional annual parking fee applies. The next cohort's application deadline is September 30, 2026, with classes beginning November 2, 2026.
