Overview
This 30-credit certificate prepares students for professional roles in early childhood education and childcare services. It is offered part-time only, with all courses held in the evening or on weekends, and admission in the fall and winter terms, making it accessible to applicants already working in the field. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a DEC at the time of application, or qualify through relevant experience if aged at least 21, through completion of five university courses (15 credits), or through an appropriate diploma obtained outside Quebec after at least 13 years of schooling. All candidates must demonstrate satisfactory French through the standardized French exam required for the DEC, the provincial French writing test, or UQAM's own French test.
