Program details

Overview

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Cégep du Vieux Montréal's admission page for Arts visuels (510.A0) states that the programme follows the college's general admission conditions, with no additional secondary-course prerequisites published for this programme. Domestic applicants need a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP), having completed the standard secondary French, second-language and mathematics courses, or an equivalent Canadian diploma such as the Ontario Secondary School Diploma; applications go through the SRAM portal (admission.sram.qc.ca), which ranks candidates by Secondary 4 and 5 grades and course averages, with a bonus for advanced math or science selections, and some programmes add an audition or aptitude test. Applicants who were not schooled in French in Quebec must pass the college's own French-proficiency test (oral and written comprehension, grammar, composition); no minimum score is published. International applicants need a diploma equivalent to the DES (11 to 13 years of schooling, or a recognised 11-year record or baccalauréat for French-medium systems) plus this programme's own prerequisites, apply via admission.sram.qc.ca paying the CAD 85 SRAM fee, and receive a decision in three to eight weeks.
