This technical diploma (DEC) in geomatics technology at Cégep Limoilou trains students to observe, measure, analyze, and represent land and territory using satellite imagery, aerial photography, drones, and precision survey instruments such as GPS receivers, total stations, and lidar. Coursework combines fieldwork with computer-laboratory training in geographic information systems (GIS) and photogrammetry, producing official land documents, maps, three-dimensional models, and spatial-data analyses. The programme runs three years (six sessions), delivered on campus at the Limoilou campus, with no specific subject prerequisites beyond the general Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES). Students may complete two paid work-study internships (alternance travail-études). It is the only geomatics technology programme offered in eastern Quebec.
