Overview

Ce DEC technique de trois ans (411.A0), offert au campus de L'Assomption du Cégep de Lanaudière, forme des techniciens en archives médicales aptes à travailler dans un environnement de santé fortement informatisé. Le programme aborde l'anatomie et la physiologie du corps humain ainsi que des notions de pharmacologie, en lien avec la gestion des dossiers médicaux et des services d'archives. Les étudiants développent des compétences liées à la gestion de l'information de santé, à l'utilisation d'outils informatiques spécialisés et à l'accueil de la clientèle dans des établissements de santé. La formation combine connaissances biomédicales de base et compétences administratives propres à la gestion documentaire en milieu hospitalier ou clinique. L'admission se fait à la session d'automne. Ce programme convient aux personnes intéressées par le domaine de la santé et le travail administratif structuré, qui souhaitent occuper des postes liés à la gestion des dossiers médicaux dans des centres hospitaliers, des cliniques ou d'autres établissements du réseau de la santé.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Beyond Cégep régional de Lanaudière's general admission requirement of a DES or DEP with langue d'enseignement de 5e secondaire, langue seconde de 5e secondaire and mathématiques de 4e secondaire, or training and experience the college judges equivalent for applicants who have been out of full-time study for at least 24 consecutive months, Medical Records Technology (Archives médicales) requires Mathématiques CST de 4e secondaire (or 514). The program notes that for its workplace-based courses, the CISSS or CIUSSS host sites may require certain vaccinations of students. The program is offered only at the Fall intake at the L'Assomption campus, and applications are made online through admission.sram.qc.ca for a non-refundable CAD 30 fee.

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM) for whichever of the cégep's three campuses they choose: for Fall 2027 entry the round-one deadline is 1 March 2027, with the system opening mid-January 2027 and later rounds running into May while places remain; Winter 2027 entry is already open, with a round-one deadline of 1 November 2026. International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline: applications for Fall 2027 opened 15 March 2026 and close 14 March 2027, while Winter 2028 applications open 1 June 2026 and close 31 May 2027. Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
