Overview
This three-year diploma programme prepares students to enter one of CCNB's information technology diploma programmes by introducing several IT specializations, including data analysis, cybersecurity, application development, game development, the Internet of Things, networking, and programming. Alongside this technical exploration, students build core academic and workplace competencies: reading, writing, numeracy, digital skills, English as a second language, intercultural communication, job-search strategies, and understanding of Canadian workplace norms. Students must have their own laptop or personal device in order to follow the training. The programme is offered at the Bathurst and Dieppe campuses with a September start and leads to a Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick diploma in Techniques multidisciplinaires en systèmes informatiques, after which graduates can progress into a related IT diploma programme.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission follows CCNB's Profile A: applicants need a regular or modified-course secondary school diploma, an adult secondary school diploma, a PCE or PCR diploma, an Essential Skills diploma for adults (CESA), a GED, or a Canadian Certificate in Adult Education (CCÉA), or must pass CCNB's admission test. International candidates need a secondary school diploma, or the equivalent, and must pass CCNB's admission test.
