Program details

Overview

Communications, Advertising and Web Design is an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) at Collège Laflèche, delivered entirely online in an interactive virtual-classroom format with evening and weekend sessions. The program prepares students to manage communication projects across multiple platforms, and its content is organized into three areas: communications and public relations; design and event management; and digital technologies, including search-engine optimization, social-media management, and web development. Across these areas, students work on developing communication strategies, creating social-media content, designing advertising campaigns, producing visual and digital assets, building websites, and directing a communication initiative from concept through execution. It suits creative, organized individuals with an interest in digital media and emerging technologies who are comfortable working in teams, managing multiple projects at once, and maintaining a high standard of written and spoken French, and who are adaptable to a field that changes quickly.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The Communications, Advertising and Web Design AEC (Communications, publicité et conception Web) is a continuing-education attestation program with its own eligibility route rather than direct-from-DES admission. Holders of a Secondary School Diploma only may also be admitted where the program provides technical training in a field with no corresponding DEC, or falls under a government agreement. No language-proficiency test is stated.
