The cross-disciplinary Digital Health certificate equips students to work in health information management, covering database design, user needs analysis, Electronic Health Records, information system management and evidence-based decision-making. The 30-credit certificate consists of 18 credits from six required courses and 12 credits from four elective courses. Offered by the Faculty of Health, it can be completed as a concurrent certificate alongside a current York undergraduate degree or as a stand-alone consecutive certificate by applicants who have already completed an accredited university degree or college diploma. The certificate is primarily delivered in person, with some courses available online or in blended format, and typically takes one to two years to complete depending on course load. Study sessions begin in the Fall or Winter term, and students may enrol full-time or part-time.
