Diploma in Human Sciences – Law and Citizenship

This pre-university Human Sciences profile examines contemporary legal, political, economic, and social issues, including economic crises, social movements, environmental challenges, international relations, labour movements, and government decision-making. The curriculum includes five profile-specific courses, among them a regional course on archaeology and ancient civilizations, alongside the general Human Sciences core. Teaching includes personalized guidance, exam-preparation activities, and experiential learning through field trips, simulations, and projects such as a Bootcamp, historical travel, and political simulations. The regular pathway is completed in two years (four sessions); extended, Sport-Études, and Arts-Études pathways run three years. Admission requires meeting the general college admission conditions and Secondary V CST or 416 mathematics. Graduates typically continue into university programmes in law, international studies, history, journalism, communications, cultural heritage, political science, or urban planning. The credential is a Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) issued by Collège Laflèche.
