Overview
This Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations, offered through Concordia's Faculty of Arts and Science, trains students in expertise on human relationships across four concentrations: Individual and Small Group Processes, Community Development, Organization Development and Change, and Family Science. Students develop communication, organization, teamwork and problem-solving skills applicable to non-profit organizations, educational institutions, corporate settings and social services. Coursework blends theory in group dynamics, organizational behaviour and family systems with applied, practice-based training. Full-time study takes three to four years (90-120 credits), depending on academic background, with classes held primarily on the Loyola campus and admission in the Fall (September) or Winter (January) term. The program suits students pursuing careers in community development, human resources, counselling-adjacent roles, or organizational change management across non-profit, educational and corporate settings.
