This Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Pure and Applied Mathematics, offered through Concordia's Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Science, combines theoretical mathematics with applied coursework in areas such as communications, software development, encryption, banking and data analysis, using a mix of lectures and labs and professional software tools for mathematics and data analysis. Students choose an Honours track (66 credits) or a Specialization track (60 credits); a co-op option offers paid work terms of 12 to 16 weeks. Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), depending on the student's academic background, with classes held on the Sir George Williams campus and admission in the Fall or Winter term.

Admission Requirements: Quebec CEGEP applicants need a 24 overall average with 24 in math and science, having completed Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Linear Algebra, Mechanics, and Electricity and Magnetism. Canadian and international high school applicants need a B- overall average and B- in math and science, including one course from Pre-Calculus or Calculus (or equivalent) and two sciences from Biology, Chemistry or Physics. IB Diploma applicants need 27 points overall with 4 in math and science. Concordia's institution-wide English proficiency minimum applies unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo 105. Fall applications are due March 1 and Winter applications November 1.
