Overview
Conestoga's Bachelor of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (Honours) is a four-year, hybrid-delivery degree at the Waterloo campus that combines theory, hands-on projects and two co-op work terms. Students learn to analyze complex data and design intelligent systems through applied mathematics, algorithms, programming in languages such as Python and R, data visualization, machine learning, big data technologies, and the ethics of responsible AI. Graduates are prepared for roles such as data analyst, machine learning specialist, AI designer and big data specialist across sectors including healthcare, technology, logistics, research and robotics.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or applicant age 19 or older by the program start. Conestoga asks for six Grade 12 U or M courses at a minimum cumulative average of 65%, or six Grade 12 C-level courses at a minimum cumulative average of 75%, including Grade 12 English (U or C level) and any Grade 12 Mathematics (U or C level) plus four further Grade 12 courses; higher averages may be required where the program is competitive. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must meet Conestoga's institution-wide degree-program English requirement: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band under 6.0), TOEFL iBT 88 (no skill under 22), PTE Academic 58, CAEL 70 (no sub-test under 60), or Duolingo 120. International applicants and Canadian citizens or permanent residents holding transcripts from outside Canada require a course-by-course credential evaluation through a service such as ICAS or WES.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca (college code CONS): for the Fall 2027 intake the online application opens 26 September 2026, the equal consideration date is 1 February 2027, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and accepted offers must be confirmed by 1 May 2027; most oversubscribed programs stop accepting applications after 1 February 2027, though many programs remain open afterward. Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
