Overview
Predictive Analytics is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Conestoga's Kitchener - Doon campus. The program covers statistical applications for data analysis, data modeling practices, and big data analytical techniques used to extract information from data and predict trends and behaviour patterns. Through individual and group activities and case studies, students apply predictive modeling and analytical techniques that bring together management, information technology, and business modeling processes to support data-driven decisions and forecasting. The program is intended for graduates with a background in computer science, computer programming, mathematics, or statistics, or those with related industry experience, preparing them for roles in data analytics, business intelligence, and predictive modeling for organizations seeking to identify risks and opportunities in their data.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma, degree, or equivalent with an overall average grade of B or above (assessed, by country, to Ontario standards) in computer science or computer programming/analysis; or a degree in mathematics or statistics; or successful graduation from Conestoga's Business Analytics or Information Technology Business Analysis Ontario Graduate Certificate, or an equivalent graduate certificate in a discipline with a significant analytics component, such as health informatics; or a minimum of three years of related industry or professional experience. Canadian citizens and permanent residents with transcripts from outside Canada require a course-by-course credential evaluation through a provider such as ICAS or WES. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must demonstrate English language proficiency per Conestoga's institution-wide requirements for degree and graduate certificate programs (IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120).
