Overview
Big Data Solution Architecture is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Conestoga College's Kitchener–Doon campus, offered with an optional co-op work term. The program prepares students to support business analysts and organizations working with large data sets, covering solution development, database design across SQL and NoSQL systems, data processing, data warehousing and data visualization. Learning is delivered through problem-based learning applied to real-world data scenarios. Admission requires a prior Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma, degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a related information technology field, or a graduate certificate in computer applications development or mobile solutions development, with an overall average of B or above. Coursework builds on an existing technical background to develop the architecture, data management and analytical skills organizations need to structure and interpret large volumes of information. Graduates pursue roles supporting data infrastructure, database administration and business intelligence functions within data-driven organizations.
