Cert in Power Engineering Techniques - 4th Class

Power Engineering Techniques - 4th Class is a one-year, three-term Ontario College Certificate program that trains students in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of industrial boilers, refrigeration systems, prime movers, and auxiliary equipment used for heating, cooling, and power applications. Instruction follows the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPEEC) syllabus and prepares students to challenge Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) examinations for 4th class certification. The program combines classroom theory with hands-on training on power plant systems and equipment. Graduates are prepared to pursue TSSA 4th class certification and to work in power plant operation, building operations, and industrial facility maintenance, with a pathway to further study at the 3rd class level.
